This is just an idea but if freo traded fyfe, ibbo and a third round pick to Carlton for Cripps and sps, freo would have to great mids in Cripps and sps instead of one in Fyfe. What are your opinions on that and who should freo trade in and out at the end of the season

Half way mark to the season, lots of time to play and water to go under the bridge, one springs to mind who has been on our list and in the news.

Besides Nat being our captain and the real bad press that it would bring there is another problem with that .  Nat is a restricted free agent.
Fyfe will get back to his best and we have a good spread of young talent coming through.

It looks very likely we will say goodbye to another 5-6 players this year with speculation of some W.A boys wanting to come home.

Nat Fyfe is central to our immediate future plans and it would be essential to retain him;  certainly not lose him by our own doing.  Trading him is not an option.  If however, he exercised his free agency it creates a couple of scenarios.
We would certainly match it and force a trade negotiation or we roll over and merely get the compensation pick which would be a first round pick.

I think we will be best served in retaining Nat and trading hard this year.  If we go as good as we did last year we will be fine.  Trading in four best 22 players is outstanding.

Ibbo is also a free agent ( unrestricted ).
I can't see us being as fortunate as we were with Chris Mayne.
