Not sure just what it is, either frustration or anger, but I am at a loss to explain my feeling about many things right now.
I am frustrated that our team are playing so badly.Frustrated at not knowing why.
What are the problems!!!!Is it Lyon, is it Rosich, or is it just the club as a whole!!!
Angry...... yep I am. Angry that the WA media are taking free swings at our team and club, without rebuke coming from the club itself.
At long last some one from the media has had the balls to call it as it is.Strangely enough, it is a Melbourne journo.Mark Robinson. He called it on 360 the other night when Fremantle was the first topic on the agenda. He said it is obvious that some one from the West is after Ross Lyon.A great call.
We constantly have these parasites making things up.We have idiot sports interviewers on TV asking Ross banal questions.Dribbling sheet in other words. The other night he said to Ross the other night... always good to chat Ross you are always good for a laugh.Ross laughed, not with him , but at him.But he had not the slightest clue that that is what happened.Ross must just wonder why he is even there.
It seem now that even more rats are slinking out of their rat holes to make their 5 minutes of fame.A certain sacked former coach seems like he may be telling porkies about a certain club .Interesting.
Another red head who hasn't lived in WA for many many years, but has sunk the slipper in many times , has asked for the club to take aboard some Real Fremantle people.Mentioning Sumich and Justin Longmuir.
Now Suma I will live with. A true Fremantle football person, A better than average player for Souths.Good enough to become the Eagles full forward.A coach good enough to coach Souths to play in a grand final. And as an aside, coaching the WA under 18s to victory.
Justin Longmuir is Fremantle only in the fact that he played for the FFC.He was a Garlic Muncher who had to play at Souths under the rules of the day.His performances in Red and White were far from spectacular.
We missed the baot in 1994 when we became a club. The Board and every one else ignored the history and culture of the two Fremantle teams. We should have taken the young and new players to the homes of these two great clubs, but chose to ignore them.We can do nothing now to appease these two great clubs.
I could go on about us not being wanted by the three bodies concerned , but wont, because I think I have vented about it all before.
GRRRRR.Yep angry for sure.
Sorry I haven't had a chance to post more over the last few weeks but family commitments have taken up a load of my time.Beautiful Grand daughters take up so much of my time now days.Gotta say I am loving it.

Unfortunately Anchors, you have to put up with this a lot more than I do, living over here in sin city. I can only judge what I see on the field and reflect upon this. Seems like 4 blokes in a dinghy and lines going everywhere. On the field....It's complete rubbish, off it.....sounds awful. I'm odds on to hear the big bang from here. Like yourself, I've ridden the wave before, and it looks like it's gonna be a long one. Oh boy....25 years of drama and tears, here we go again. The season is shot, so i'm at peace now, and nothing much will change until trade time as far as the players are concerned. The coach won't be going anywhere as unfortunately he is to expensive to show the door. So we once again ride the tide and pray for happiness.

Langdon acknowledged tonight on 6pr that there is definitely an agenda to run Ross out of town, however he didn't have the balls to say who was behind it.

Disgusted with Hasselby rabbiting on about getting rid of Ross ASAP. Getting more and more convinced he's a flog.

Good to hear some people ringing up calling out the West Australian for their continual harassment of Lyon and the FFC.

I'm still of the opinion, It's not the Coach, it's the assistant coaches and some useless players.

It was mentioned again that Langdon wants to return to Victoria, I say good piss off.

Well after yesterday's magnificent win over the TOP TEAM, your above statement is a bit blurred. [rolleyes]

No it doesn't, and a season riddled with injuries doesn't help either, it's not an excuse but a fact, regardless of individuals dislike of the coach/es, credit should be given when credit is due. The effort by the whole team on the weekend was praise worthy to say the least. Maybe the shellacking Freo recieved last year at the hands of the cats which the WA Media reminded us on a number of occasions leading up to the game was part motivation as well as the Media pressure on Lyon and the club being another motivational factor.

Thanks WA Media you did well. [rofl]

It is astonishing how Freo can win games when they get zilch probability of winning a game against more fancied teams, and then leave supporters fuming, frustrated, disillusioned and demoralized when they get beaten by bottom of the ladder teams that they should beat.

Lets try and keep the faith and hope that Freo can put in a strong finish to the season.

This quote you make is my exact point. Painfully frustrating, to think we can beat top teams, give the supporters hope, and then blow out the candles with a fire hose and nobody gets any cake. This is what p!sses me off. If the ability from the players is there, then it is up to the coach and HIS staff to get the players up every week. To me....this is where it's lacking. Whilst I believe the coaching staff is not that crash hot, it's the head coach who must take responsibility. In 8 years of Ross Lyon I've got no premiership and now no cake. You can't just jump on the wins and ride out the losses, this isn't producing a winning culture nor is it bringing the flag our way. 8 years we have paid a guy millions to bring us happiness, a coaches contract lifespan is generally 3, so as of next year Ross has had three lifetimes for zero flags,(if we don't win it next year, highly unlikely) and that is just with our club. If you can't get across the river, then you walk down stream a little bit more and try again. I wouldn't last 9 years in my job if I didn't bring the results required.

We are all frustrated with our lack of success, but there is little we can do other than stay supportive of the whole unit.
If we get rid of Lyon, and I doubt we will, who takes his place. And please don't say Brad Scott.Who is out there to step in and take over.Who has the credentials to take us forward.
A couple of suggestions are Sumich and Longmuir, but both are yet to move beyond an assistants role.
There are few like Chris Fagan who can step in and make a big difference.
The clubs who have moved coaches on and have had success with their stand ins are taking risks. So far they have worked, but will they be as good in the full time role.
After next season we need to be very conscious of who we take on board.Or maybe we need to be aware of which coaches we move on at this seasons end.
Already we have moved Brett Guirra on.Other have to be in the firing line, and no pun intended.

Anchors, I agree. There isn't a lot out there at present, as far as coaches go. I understand that we have to keep Lyon till the end of next year (there's no point blowing a million $$$$). Brad Scott is the last person i'm thinking, in fact he's thoughtless, so don't panic, i'm crazy...yes....insane...no. We do need to be very calculated on what to do after next year in regards to coaching, but i'm not convinced with those that are entrusted to make such a decision. Let's not forget that I wasn't the only one here calling for Ross's head a few weeks back, ( I've been doing it for years, just don't think he cuts it) but now we win a big game and all is forgiven. Everyone craps on about this big long re-build we are having, and how it's gonna slowly take time. P!ssing in the wind if you ask me. Eagles ran last in 2010 finished 4th in 2011- some re-build aye. Everyone wonders why they laugh at us, but I get it. Yeah I hate them like I hate religion (the root of all evil) but they always have success. O.k so they had the red carpet rolled out for them in the early days, I get it, I know the history, but that was years ago. Those rotten sods have been in the competition for 32 completed years and have played finals for 23 of them, winning 4 flags and 3 runners up. In their first 25 years they played finals 18 times for 3 flags and 2 runners up, we, on the other hand, have not even got close to half of that, and yes i'm well aware of our ripped off start in 1995, but we have had sufficient time since to get over that and yet we still have nothing. Would the eagles have persisted with Lyon as long as we have whilst not delivering a flag? I bet not. So in my eyes it seems our club is once again in a lot of Barney Rubble. Lyon is obsessed with Hawthorn..and it ain't working. Hale Guerra and Rock are all Hawthorn. Lyon is always one step behind Clarkson, and now Hawthorn aren't doing so flash. I don't know who coaches us Anchors, but we've got a year to think about it.
