I'm really pleased for Cam, he played an excellent game and enjoyed those five goals. He looks fitter, and more confident the minute he stepped out on the field.

I don't want to get too far ahead because clubs will find ways to try and negate what Freo are doing. I'm sure until the young guys get stronger and fitter, and when up against stronger teams, the game plan may change to limit damage.  But if this is the game plan they have been working towards then it is a pleasing sight and it suits the new game rules.

Walters was on fire!

Kudos to Tucker.

The pressure wasn't manic circa 2013 but they were giving themselves the opportunity to swing the play in what every way they could.  They were all collectively willing that ball to turn.

The sweetest thing about the game was that I had no expectations going into the game but was wrapped at how the game played out especially the way Freo kept playing attacking footy right to the end.
Excellent team effort but Cam was fantastic let's hope he can keep that kind of positive footy going.
That would have to be the best game I've seen Tucker play, two super goals he kicked show what this young man is capable of.
Shultz looks ready made for senior football and was awesome.

Apparently Hogan is keen to play now,I guess the pressure is off a bit now Freo have a win on the board plus who wouldn't want a bit of that action.

Whoa who was that team moving the ball like lightening, hitting targets, kicking goals, and intercepting balls nearly every time they went into our backline?

I am rapt in this new look side. They were, slick, energetic and accurate. It was a fabulous game to watch. As a matter of fact I have watched it three times already. I can’t believe the diffference in our team from last season to this. It’s like someone has finally flicked the switch.

So many superb players, but I just have to single out Cam McCarthy. Take a bow lad. That was a fabulous game from him. It was also a fabulous game from Walters and Brad Hill. As someone else has said, it was probably one of the best Brad has played at the Dockers. Just loved watching his bursts of speed back from the backline. And what an asset Lobb is to the side. We will never regret taking him.

If we can keep this up, we will be up there with the best of them this season. Hopefully we will see more of the same. RL seldom changes the players when they have had a win, unless they have been injured of course.

Can’t wait to see next week’s game. The excitement factor has just gone up a notch.

Goby , I couldn't agree more about McCarthy. He is certainly a lot leaner, lighter, and it showed. But as much as anything in my opinion , he has now found his spot as number three or four forward. He has never been a number one forward since playing AFL.He has had to play that role since being at the club. Now with Lobb and Taberner, and soon Hogan, he can sit back and do what he is best at.

Ballas out for 3/4 weeks, who comes in in his place.

It looks like Hogan will be available, will he take Ballas spot, or will there be another who drops out?
If Swit is fit and ready to go, I would love to see him play.
