Have to say that I can't recall a post game presser where Ross has been as happy as he was after the Melbourne game.

I think the win must have caught him by surprise as well as the fans.

He wasn't even as happy as that after the WB win, but then again the opening question from a WA journo hack at that post game presser certainly put him offside.

I missed the Hill incident, but am led to believe he did the two finger eye thing, like open your f eyes.
A good win by the boys.A second time in two weeks they have fought back to win  games that last year we would have been blown out of the water.
Our senior player certainly led us home, but not sure that some of the kids didn't help drag them along a bit as well. The youth in the side now is what has been needed. Balic is going to be something special. Logue was impressive again.Hughes did some good things. Crozier played like his life depended on it.
Of the senior boys, gee Fyfe is a battering ram for the team.Loved his game. Neale, Mundy, Sandilands, Johnson,Ibbotson all were good. The Hill boys again gave us pace.
I heard Lyon at some stage use the word ,Initiative in how the boys played. He has allowed them to use their initiative in how the see a play coming up.
A couple of things I noted before half time.Son Son needs to learn how to tackle. He tries to bump at almost every contest for the ball.We need to tackle harder. We allow too many tackles to be broken.
We didn't run hard enough in se first half and , especially the second quarter.
A magnificent third quarter. Mundy up forward looked good.Love seeing Fyfe play up there.Clever use of Neale, Fyfe, Mundy etc up forward has been successful.
Listening to the commentary, it was obvious that they wanted the Dees to win.But Anthony Hudsaon had it all wrong. He was doing the game against the Doggies last week he didn't remember much about it.He said a couple of times about Blakely tagging Bontempelli , but it was Logue who did that.Get it right Huddo.
I watched Logue after the game, when the boys were standing around waiting to go to the rooms. He was almost in awe of the venue,He was looking all around the place taking it all in.He seemed to have smirk, rather than a smile on his face, as if to say,WOW I have played at the G and won a game here.Have a look and watch.
A huge chance next week of making it three in a row.I am not getting ahead of the game, but it is a real possibility.
Happy to have lost a point in my tipping on this one.

I would have to agree the commentary was a joke for most of the game.
Playing Mundy up front a lot more is a great idea his big strong and smart, with you would think your best two defenders on the two new big boys Mundy will create a lot of headaches for opposition coaches, then throw Fyfe into the mix.
Balic looks to be growing in confidence and given time will be a great player,Logue was ok but could of made a name for himself if he could of held onto a couple of marking opportunitys when he went forward,I'm sure with time he also will be a very good player for us.
Glad to see Crozier get a run at senior football,I think he if given a chance could be something special.
All in all a fantastic hard fought team building win for our transitioning team.

Agree with all this Anchor however it was Connor running with Bonts until Beveridge moved him to Full Forward to drag Blakely away from the play. Great game from Blakely, that one, and he went on with it against Nathan Jones on Saturday.

Yep,for sure they need a tackling coach at Cockburn. It's frustrating watching players get their arms free to shoot out handballs or simply breaking through our tackles.
There was one great tackle by Brad where he held the players arm as well so that he couldn't handball off.

We had many terrific performances on Saturday but the really important thing is the time playing together for this group.
Cam McCarthy was terrific around the ground as well as the goals he kicked. His touch is returning and I sense there is a bag coming up any game now.

How good was that handball from Shane Kersten in the last ? It had to have been 25 metres with his left hand. Bloody outstanding.
He's got his critics but I am glad he is ours and he can play even better than that on Saturday. Wow.

The training last week was upbeat after the Bulldogs win, this week it will be tingling out there.

Cam and Kersten own that forward line, as far as KPP are concerned. They aren't sitting behind a Pavlich, Jeremy Cameron or a Hawkins. They have started at the same base line. From here it's what they make of it together and individually. Both of them have had to face adversity health wise. As far as they are concerned I see their season as a chance to develop. Any higher expectations, is a bit unfair.
