The first two games have gone how I thought and hoped they would, showing us that maybe keeping more senior players on your list will only get you so far compared to a younger built list with a few older players.
Melbourne especially ran Geelong off there feet,if they could of kicked straighter it would of been a smashing but to Geelongs credit they never gave up and the older blocks showed a bit of class when they did get the ball moving forward.
I think this should give us something positive to look forward to in our clubs direction.

TT, a good spot.Yes the Dees were much quicker and slicker than the Cats.
The Cats Holy Trinity were a disaster last night. All three put in shockers. Ablett is a very large shadow of the player he once was.Looks over weight and slow. Three times in the first half, he was caught with the ball.Incorrectly disposed of the ball, yet not penalised.
Dangerfield gave away far far too many frees for a player of his calibre.Six in all.He had a shocker.
Selwood , it could be said , cost Geelong the game with his petulance and brain snap.A spoilt brat.He also gave away too many frees.
But Melbourne were relentless in their attitude all night.

Wow GWS look good, could this be the start of a new era with the old powerhouses coming up short in the first three games, now just need the pies to do a number on the toasters..

A good game last night. Well played by the Toasters. Played pressure footy at the right time. Home ground, home crowd, and fitness got them there.
Gee might just have to jump back on the Neeshies band wagon again. Super impressive、

Watching Geelong made me think of why Fremantle started looking towards good athletes. Geelong looked bulked up and slow in comparison to the Melbourne boys. Obviously there's a sweet spot of speed, endurance, strength and skill across positions but Geelong don't seem to have it at the moment.  Chris Scott looked like he was going to phone the Gill hotline and tell him how the game should be umpired.

GWS did look good but I only saw a half of that match.

WC I can't see them getting over Tigers if they get there.

How good were Collingwood last night! Well that's really thrown a spanner in the experts works.were Richmond complacent and to slow to start or are the pies very good?
Let's hope Mr Darcy and Brennan Cox were watching Mason Cox last night what a great set of hands he has and his leading to the ball in the forward 50 Rance and co had no hope of stopping him,by half time he had basically torn the heart out of Richmond.
Who would of thought after Freo nearly beat the pies a few weeks ago that they are looking this good going into a grand final, maybe Freo are not as bad as a lot would tell us?

I remember our conversation Tiptop about the possibilty of a straight swap Cox for Mayne.

That would have looked like a pretty good deal right about now. He has made some inroads during that time, especially this year.

Yes Cox would of been a great get and getting better and better with age as most big guys do.
I'm very happy for Mayne his found a new lease of life in the back line at Collingwood, hope he can finally get a medal.
