As I said to another of my groups friends....Let's do an Olivia Newton John on them.
Let's get physical, physical.
Yep a few, quite a few front runners.Including their two big forwards
I have never been a fan of Kennedy, yes he kicks a lot of goals , but never kicks them against the good FBs. He hardly ever kicked goals on McPharlin. He kicks bags against the lesser FBS. But then come pressure time he goes missing. Not a pressure player.Same as Darling.Hit him hard and often and he goes missing.Hill is another,. a wasted space, Le Cras goes missing when it gets tough.
But try suggesting that to their supporters. Shees they bite like mongrel dogs with rabies.

Bummer - Stephen Hill out for 3 - 4 weeks with a hammy. Just when things were starting to go well. He is going to be hard to replace as Stephen has been averaging a significant number of possessions in each game this year.

I think his replacement will depend on whether Balic is ok to come back. If he is Ross may bring him in and leave Tucker in as he went pretty well last week.

Alternatively, if Harley isn't ok Ross may bring in Dannyl Pearce to replace Stephen. He is probably the most obvious choice for my money.

I hope Balic comes up for the game.Would hate to see us go back to the tried payers at this stage after the clean out.

Stephen Hill missing the game won't be our only problem anchor.

Lauchie Neale has pulled up sore with his knee and has also had scans. Not sure whether the injury is something that will keep him out of the side this week. It may be a case of wait and see with him.

Fingers crossed that Lauchie plays as it's another loss we could well do without.

It depends on whether the MC want to replace Stephen Hill with another inside/ outside mid or go more for speed with Danyle Pearce.

I was watching Priddisy on Sunday and, god, he moves like a sloth.
I can't believe wc went to the draft to pick a successor to Priddisy and selected Dom Sheed who is essentially a clone of Priddisy.

I would love to see a sprint between Mitchy, Priddisy and Sheedy. Jon Griffin would beat them.

Personally, I am expecting Danyle Pearce to come in.
Speed vs. plodders.

What I really want to see in this game is Brad Hill turn on his twin turbos and burn off the WC players. He's been showing glimpses of it in most of his games, but in the absence of Stephen, we need Brad to really turn it on.

If we are aiming for speed against WC's slow midfield, then I'm pretty sure it will be Danyle who gets the nod.

Must get physical with the sippers. Must go after Priddis, gaff and shuey, but not once or twice. Need to go hard at their bodies and physically tag them out of the game. Kennedy won't do much unless we role out the red carpet. Bash the 3 main ball winners and the ball won't get to him. Need to check yeo too, he is playing quite well at the moment. Hawks definitely showed us how to break down their ball movement and it's by attacking the players. The boys need to watch demolition on the Friday night for inspiration.

Have to say it was the most pleasurable game by the Hawks I've seen in a long time. Was a really enjoyable game to watch the toasters wash out at the MCG again. One thing about living in NZ - only know one toasters supporter. So I count myself very lucky. I feel for all you that have to live through their condescension and smugness. My hope is that Freo wipe the smirk off their suppporters face. But we will always have "How are your blokes doing when they play the MCG? Still have problems on the road I see..."

Right I'm off to lay a couple of bets.

No doubt a big part of the player sledging that will take place on Saturday will involve their pathetic performances at the MCG.
