Richmond are certainly not looking the goods this season anchor with two very poor performances from the last two rounds.  They are really missing Dusty.  GWS are again showing us why they should never have been in last year’s GF.  I think that the poor performance from the Eagles last week coupled with McGovern not playing this week will see the Lions win comfortably.  I also think that where we’re concerned, the inclusion of the Hogan, Hill and Sturt trio just might see us get the points against Port, in spite of the fact that they put in a great performance against the Crows.  You’ve got to feel for Rory Lobb having to shoulder the bulk of the ruck work yet again.  It looks like that will be the case for at least a couple of weeks anyway.

Thanks for the tips and your comments regarding the current status of season anchor.  Each week the game continues is a bonus.

Yes the Eastern states teams certainly need to toughen up and lose that sense of entitlement, which is sickening.  Our Club accepted that we had to move into a hub on the other side of the country sans family etc. and we did it without so much as a whimper (unlike the mob up the road who had a grizzle).  Having said that, I don’t doubt there will be a massive sigh of relief when the club returns and we get to play games at Optus again.

Agree with most of your tips for this round, except Carlton aren’t playing so well tonight.  I think the Eagles will probably be flogged as well.

Regarding the Dockers game, my heart is saying Dockers over the Pies as well, but my head is also saying it.  I think we will get over the line in this game and see a beaming JLo in his post game presser.

Carlton disappointed me last night. The Saints out ran them in the first half.Their pace and good ball use blew the Blues away. When they Blues had a chance to come back, they missed a couple of reasonably easy shots and let the Saints back in.

It is Dockers V Crows PH.
I looked at the Eagles ins this week, and this is as close tot heir best so far this season I reckon. If they don't win with this side, then they are in trouble.
Not that they are not right now.Maybe the zimmer frames need some urgent maintenance.

Pretty well agree with all your choices for this round anchor except one.

The Dockers can win this one, in spite of having a massively depleted team, if they bring the same heart to this one that they did to the Saints game.

It was a surprise to me that GWS won last night anchor.  Richmond are a shadow of what they were last season.  So many players are out of form.  In contrast, Toby Greene and Coniglio are certainly in form and really carved it up.  Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I agree that we don’t have a hope in hell of beating Geelong, but would be ecstatic to be proven wrong.  Our list of outs is almost the same length as the ins these days.  No-one mentions Cam McCarthy who isn’t even appearing in the mix for selection. I think that Monday is counted as part of this Round and that the next Round commences on Wednesday.

I’m hoping the Pies will wipe the smirks off the Eagle fans’ faces.  A good flogging would be nice, seeing the WA media have now got in the top four after beating our undermanned team last week.

Given the clout that Clarkson seems to have with the AFL, I wish he would make some noise about the continuous conjestion around the ball and the rolling rugby scrums.  I was reading an article today about the diminishing number of clean marks taken in the forward line because of the high number of players vying for the ball.  All the congestion means the ball goes to ground and there’s numerous scrums involving half a dozen players or more, or the ball gets fisted out of play by a multitude of players.   It’s ugly football and is becoming unwatchable.
