Uncle Wally
I came across an interesting article in the latest edition of "The Weekend Australian Magazine" about the song "Up There Cazaly" which was written and recorded by Mike Brady forty years ago.  It was an accidental chart topper for Brady who only wrote it because Channel 7 approached him, as the broadcaster was wanting a jingle to use as a signature song for their VFL telecasts.

The article went on to say that the English soccer club Derby County has been using the tune as its club 's theme song for the past twenty years.  Derby's version is titled "Steve Bloomer's Watching".  Apparently Bloomer was a Derby County legend who played 474 games for the club between 1892 and 1914.  A bronze statue of Bloomer stands facing the pitch at Pride Park, hence the title.  I'm sure it's an article that would be of interest to tip tops, who I'm sure would know more about Bloomer than I claim to do.

Obviously it's easy to hear Derby's version of the tune by simply Googling the song title.  It's worth a listen if anyone's the slightest bit interested.

Thanks uncle.
I didn’t know that,I’m still a bit deflated after Derby missed out on promotion.
