It's now official, Michael Barlow is leaving the club.

I just want to say thankyou Michael for everything you gave to the Dockers (and that was a lot). You were one of the first to really fire up the fans and give us hope that we could win a Premiership.

You have played your guts out for us, and I will never forget your courage the day you tried to stand to take a kick with a broken leg. It still brings tears to my eyes.

Thanks a million Mickey. I hope you find another club for 2017 because if ever there was anyone who deserves to finish their AFL career on their terms, it is you.

Good Luck for the future.

A sad day for a lot of people, you loved the dockers so much for picking you up all those years back and gave it your best shot .
 It is a ruthless game at times, but i prey another club gives you at least another year to play the game you love so much . Your fans will always remember you Mickey with love.
Good luck with whatever you do in the future.

A very courageous player M.Barlow. He didn't follow the football, the football followed him. Very sad to see that your time at Fremantle Football Club has been cut short by the powers that be. Best wishes for the future.

I have to agree with all the sentiments shown here.He has given his all tot he club and deserves all the accolades he gets.Like so many others, he has been one of my favourite players.
But it should not be all sadness, let's not forget that had Fremantle not selected him as a mature age recruit back 2010, the AFL may never have seen him play.I do not think he would have been selected by another club.He played 126 games in the Purple and gave his all in every last one of them.
Well played and thank you Mickey B.

2x25=Seinor&Michael.

29 = 353.

Improver one,Taylin Duman.

Improver two, Brett Bewley.
Smokey, Tobe Watson.

I am confident the club did offer him a contract but Mick has shook hands and said " let's call it stumps guys . I'd prefer to try and find a multiple year contract elsewhere ".

An obvious target club now would be Adelaide after missing out on Gibbs.

Reality is he would have spent most of next year at Peel and I think he realizes that.
And as the cup goes up hear the shouting
Freooo, Freo.

Michael Barlow talks to 6PR Breakfast

Good interview and kind of sad really that an era has ended not only with Barlow but all the others that have left this season.

Nice to see the faith and respect the Sun's are showing by elevating Michael to the leadership group. Well done.

A very good decision on the players' part.

They won't be disappointed in Michael's performances on or off the field.
