I received my email about the members board meeting yesterday. This I am sure will be the forerunner to the new way members are going to be informed of the way the board runs.
In the past, we as ,members, have elected two board members. This was something that as members we fought for.We will no longer have the right to elect the members as we have in the past.
As you would be aware, we elected Peter Bell and Stephen O'Rielly as our last to elected members. Both have now moved on.Peter left to become Football manager.Stephen has finished his term, and has been replaced by James Clement.
The meeting is only for eligible members.I am assuming that if you hold a current membership(2019) then you are invited.
The meeting is being held at Fremantle town hall on the 3rd of December.
Doors open ad 5:45.
I am sure that the Board will give us more insight into the changes and what we can expect in regards to further members meetings.
From what I read, this meeting will be run on the same lines as previous members meeting have been.A meet and greet of new players, a question session, speeches from Peter Bell and Justin Longmuir. At meetings end, then the board will mingle with the members to listen to what we have to say.
If you are a member, try your damndest to get there.
I am sure that there will be some suggestion that the FFC are in the throes of rebuilding bridges with the SFFC,EFFC, and the Fremantle football history and heritage.
