Purple Heart
News tonight is saying that Harley may run out in our next home game against Richmond.

What a game that will be if he does.

It's not only our final Home game at Domain Stadium and the end of an era, but watching Harley in purple will bring the crowd to its feet.

@PurpleHeart  I doubt that Harley will play next week after today's poor performance, because the team would not back him up.  There are a few sulky players in our group, who do not respond well to having the attention removed from them.

Also, sad to say, the crowds may be well down for our last game at Subi, because of today's poor performance.

Sorry PH, but am still smarting after having to live through today  [frown]

Did Lachie Neale HTSO today.Why did he bother to pull on the guernsey!!!!!
A couple of the senior players I will give some leeway,Johnsho was brutally hit from behind by Buddy and he was very sore after that.He could hardly walk in the rooms at half time.Mundy injured his knee and looked out of sorts well after that.
Fyfe went hand ball happy all day.Not sure he is right in his leg or ankle just know.
A very very ordinary performance.
As for Harley playing nest week, I wouldn't play him either.As Vivian said he wont get support from his "team mates".

2x25=Seinor&Michael.

29 = 353.

Improver one,Taylin Duman.

Improver two, Brett Bewley.
Smokey, Tobe Watson.

Absolutely agree Vivian.

How disappointing it would be for Harley to run out in purple after all this time, only to be surrounded by teammates who really can't be bothered putting in any effort to be competitive. The mindset seems to be "just two more games to go" till the season ends. Ross may still decide to play him though to give Harley a morale boost in readiness for the pre-season training. If that is the case his teammates had better do the right thing by him.

I really liked what Stephen Hill said in his post-game interview that the "fans have a right to be upset with that performance". As one of only a handful of players who actually turned up yesterday, he would be smarting as must as fans are.

The gig next week is significant for us Vivian as it heralds the final Home Game for the Dockers at Domain stadium after all these years. What a disgrace it would be if we turned on the same limp wristed display for that one as well.

I sincerely hope we don't.

@Purple Heart  I definitely know how significant Subi Oval is, as I walked to the footy every fortnight when I lived only 10 mins. away in West Leederville.  Subi came alive with purple every home game and I revelled in it. Lived nearby for 12 years.

I guess it would be wonderful if Harley could play at our last home game at Subi - and maybe at our opener at the new Stadium as well. I will leave it to the powers that be to decide that. A week is a long time for the players having to live through the aftermath, so just maybe they will rise to the occasion and play with effort and intent.  We can only hope so PH. After 24 hours I'm mellowing and my disappointment is less painful.  [wink]

I was there last year for the last game in 2016 (for Pav as well) and remember the great win we had against the Doggies.  That was a wonderful day!  Let's hope PH that next Sunday will produce something wonderful as well!  We can only hope!
