Collingwood and Geelong here for a game this weekend.Great for WA footy followers.Giving fans of those two clubs to go watch them play.
Then Hawthorn and Carlton.
All four Melbourne based club have good following here in WA, so should be 30,000 in attendance.
For those that travel to Melbourne yearly to watch them, it will be a bonus. And hopefully we will see a chance of a full Perth Stadium.
Though the season is an upset time , this will give WA footy a good boost. When was the last time  we saw two Melbourne based club play here in Perth!!! Let alone four.

Looks like the Sydney hub may be a fizzer with the outbreak happening there. So will it mean more Melbourne based clubs will be making Perth their home for a few weeks!!
I am not sure just what happens with the gate takings from these games.

Yes anchor, Sydney’s loss could be our gain if more teams head to the West.  Apparently the AFL is now trying to get all AFL teams out of New South Wales following the increased number of new infections in that state today.

It will be really good to see a reasonable sized crowd at Optus for the Geelong/Collingwood game on Thursday.  I would think that footy fans are so eager to see a live game that many Dockers and Eagle fans will attend as well as the Cats and Pies fans based in Perth.

The way things are going I wonder if the Queensland teams will be in the box seat as far as not moving at all?

It could be bad luck for NSW but not sure how many teams could relocate to WA as far as appropriate accommodation/training facilities there are especially if WA is lucky enough to dodge an outbreak I presume more and more businesses/resorts will be able to open up normally to the public.we might see the NT or Tasmania host a couple of teams.

I'd suggest here, but just would not get the crowds.

Looking more and more the most sendable and sane government in all Australia is the Western Aussie one.

Have to say like Mark McGowan, his approach to this pandemic has proven correct.  As the 30k crowd will testify.

Yep our fearless leader McGowan has shown that he is not only a very astute and intelligent man, but he has outstanding judgement where football teams are concerned 😎
